Tim Long

Board Member

Major Tim Long was a career firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department for 28 years. He retired from the fire service in 2019. He has also been active in the homebuilding industry for the last 25 years.  He has been active in the community in southwest Oklahoma City, as well as the Moore and Norman area for many years.  During this time frame, he has served on a variety of boards and committees.

He and his wife Shannon have 3 adult daughters.  Tim possesses a strong work ethic and a passion for the mentoring of our youth.  In 2021, Tim ran for the vacated Oklahoma City Council Ward 3 seat.  He had tremendous support and overwhelmingly won over the constituents of Cleveland County.  However, in Oklahoma and Canadian counties, he came up just short of garnering enough votes to get into a runoff election.  Today he continues to stay informed on the issues which effect the state and local political landscape.  Tim and Shannon attend Southpointe Church in Southwest Oklahoma City.
